Product information

X-Lock is a versatile door lock system that suits all our accident prevention series. Using X-Lock and a door kit, you can transform any accident prevention panel into a door with a secure locking function.

X-Lock has a mechanical bolt that holds hinged and sliding doors closed. The lock is designed so that it requires conscious action to open and close the door from the outside. From the inside, X-Lock can not be closed. When locked, X-Lock can be opened from inside, unless a switch with guard locking is installed additionally.

X-Lock can be combined with either of the following:

  • A padlock applied to a plate with three holes which can be accessed only when the guard is open (this prevents closing of the door, while persons are performing setting or maintenance work inside)
  • An interlocking guard switch (monitoring the closed/open position of the guard); such a switch shall be used, if the guard is to be opened more than once a week

If X-Lock is used with a switch featuring guard locking, an emergency unlocking lever or knob must be integrated into the switch. Otherwise it will not be possible to open X-Lock from inside in case of emergency.

Axelent offers different types of switches and actuators for X-Lock. If you wish to use the X-Lock with a Siemens B-614 with emergency unlocking from the inside, a special version of X-Lock must be used.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR X-LOCK ASSEMBLY

When mounting X-Lock please follow Axelents mounting instructions precisely. Please adjust lock, switch and key carefully, so the lock operates easily without any resistance. This is imperative for correct operation.
